The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of North Carolina and Jurisdiction, Inc. convened its 150th (Sesquicentennial) Grand Communication in the city of Winston-Salem, North Carolina on the 8th of September 2022. The Annual Grand Communication was held 08, 09 and 10 September 2022.

The 150th Annual Grand Communication was a historic event in several ways. It was the first Grand Communication since the COVID-19 pandemic attacked the United States and Prince Hall Masonry in North Carolina in 2020. It was the Sesquicentennial Grand Communication since the organization of Prince Hall Masonry in the Jurisdiction of North Carolina March 1, 1870. It was the first Joint Session with the Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Rite of Adoption for the State of North Carolina, An Affiliate of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of North Carolina and Jurisdiction, Inc.

The Joint Session concept/idea was adopted from the actions and success of the York Rite Organizations and Auxiliaries of the Jurisdiction of North Carolina. Membership gives leadership and the organization/order two of their most valuable possessions, money and time. The Joint Session, like the North Carolina York Rite Convention, saves the membership money and time.

The convening of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of North Carolina and Jurisdiction, Inc. in the city of Winston-Salem, was the Grand Lodges first return to Winston-Salem since 2003. The leadership and membership of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of North Carolina and Jurisdiction, Inc. took care of the business of the Grand Lodge, fellowshipped with our sisters and look forward to the 2023 Joint Session.
